Annointed Beauty Daily Devotions Ministry

This message is inspired by a quote I heard from Pastor Ronnie Floyd – “Churched but not Changed”. There are many within the church of God who will not make it through the gates of the Kingdom because they have perfected how to be Churched yet not Changed.  If you take a good look within the church, you will see many who talk the talk but are not walking the walk. What amazes me is that they have grown so use to fooling man into thinking that they are pious, they actually think that they can fool God.

As children of God, we are called to be Christians both inside and out. How you “act” in church should be how you “live” your lifestyle. Your walk with God is not an outfit that you pick up on Saturdays/Sundays when you’re headed to church. It is a style of living that you should portray every day of the week. Many are watching how you live. They watch how you curse that Camry for cutting you off on the freeway. They watch how you curse them out for your phone not working the way you want it. They ARE WATCHING YOU!

Going to church does not guarantee entrance into the Kingdom. God requires a changed life more than a “church” life. If you are relying on your attendance in church to count for your presence in Heaven, you may find yourself attending a fiery pit. It is time to stop just attending as a ritual, but start living a changed and redeemed life. Christ died so that we can be made anew. That means NEW! The Bible says:

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17

Once you’ve truly accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior and have been born again, you are a NEW CREATURE! This means change has taken place. You should never remain the same in your walk with Christ. You should get better day by day and be on an upward path. I pray that you will seek to live a changed life in the Lord and stop being “Churched” Church is an aid to your Spiritual growth and not an atonement for your sinful lifestyle. As a matter of fact the Bible explains why attending church is an important aspect of one’s spiritual life.

Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day. Hebrews 10:25

So by no means will I condone using this message as a means to being lazy and not going to church. This is not a “get out of church” message but a “GO TO CHURCH FOR THE RIGHT REASONS” message.

This year, let us resolve to truly testify to the world how the Lord has made us a new by living a CHANGED lifestyle.

God Bless You!
